"Worship enables us to prayerfully devote our voices to Lord in reverence of his unwavering Grace. It allows us to stand in His presence, with our arms outstretched and voice raised to the heavens. The only downfall to worship is that even though the lyrics are bold and breathtaking, if the music is lacking, then worship becomes lame. This is where Matt Francisco comes in. I have been to many worship services that denounce the beauty of worship and make me not want to worship my Father, but worship with Matt Francisco never causes me to turn my attention away from the Lord. Francisco does a great job of not putting himself at attention, but leads in a way that puts the focus on who he is singing to. Even though he is leading worship, those in the crowd are not distracted by his antics. He is somber in his actions, with a melodic voice that leads with passion. Also one of his greatest characteristics as worship leader is that he does not just sing all the songs and then leaves the stage. Between each song, he either reflects on the song’s lyrics in prayer or he expresses engaging thoughts that are challenging, but overall they add to the worship. Everything he says and does on stage is intertwined on providing a positive worship experience for all.
